Credit Union to Close Corunna Branch

PFCU's Corunna Branch Will Close June 30th

PFCU has announced it will close its Corunna branch permanently and relocate the Corunna staff to the Owosso branch that is 3.5 miles away.

On Monday, the Portland, Michigan-based credit union posted a message to its website that reads, in part:

"Everything remains the same with your accounts and you can access your PFCU accounts virtually anywhere, anytime using PFCU Mobile Banking. We recognize that this closing may cause an inconvenience to our membership, however, we are dedicated to maintaining the level of service you have come to expect from PFCU."

The branch's drive thru ITM's will close on Saturday, June 27th at 1pm. The ATM and night depository will be open until June 30th when the branch permanently closes.

The Corunna branch is located at 898 W. Corunna Avenue. The new, combined Owosso/Corunna location, is located in Owosso at 1465 N. M-52.

In 2018, Durand-based SageLink Credit Union, with locations in Corunna, Owosso, Swartz Creek and Flint, merged with Portland Federal Credit Union (PFCU), giving the combined financial institution a presence from Michigan's west coast to Lansing to Shiawassee County to Flint.

Shiawassee County Sheriff Brian BeGole said a crash that closed the westbound lanes of I-69 near the Corunna/Durand exit on Saturday was the result of a head-on crash that claimed the lives of two people.
