County to Move to Weekly Coronavirus Updates

The latest data from the Shiawassee County Health Department reveals 244 confirmed positive Coronavirus cases, 211 recoveries and 26 COVID-19-related deaths.
Patients range in age from 6 to 99. 77 are male, 167 are female. Individuals are both self-isolating at home and in the hospital and have varying health conditions.
Cases are confirmed throughout the county. The Shiawassee County Health Department (SCHD) released location data by zip code. We have included some city names to give you the general idea of where positive cases have been confirmed.
There have been 4,446 specimens collected with 4,114 negative results returned.

After today's update, there are now 60,393 confirmed cases in the state and 5,792 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 related illness.
The State of Michigan verified today the total number of long term care facility COVID-19 cases as well as related deaths.
In Shiawassee County, Durand Senior Care and Rehab reports 58 total resident cases and 41 total staff cases, for a total of 99. There have been 14 resident deaths and 0 staff deaths.
At Pleasant View Medical Care Facility in Owosso there have been 17 total resident cases and 12 staff cases. There have been no deaths.
At Memorial Healthcare's long term care facility in Owosso there have been no cases and no deaths among residents or staff.
There are now just 7 active COVID-19 cases in Shiawassee County, the Shiawassee County Health Department reports, and there are zero hospitalizations. The agency announced today that it will move from its normal daily updates to weekly updates effective immediately.
