A 13 year old girl admitted that she wrote a threat on a Corunna High School bathroom wall that forced the school into lockdown on Monday; a threat to place a bomb and "have all my friends shoot up the school."  Corunna Police Chief Nick Chiros told NBC 25 that a bomb sniffing dog was called in from Tawas City.  No bomb was found, but the potential consequences of the threat are extremely real.

Chiros said a bomb or school shooting threat is a "terrorist act at a school" and that's a 20 year felony, and he says he's not issuing any warnings.

NBC 25 said Chiros expects the student will see some jail time in a juvenile detention facility.  For now, she's been released to her mother.

Chiros said there have been five threats against Corunna schools just since the tragic shooting in Parkland Florida on February 14th, including a threat just last week on Monday.

UPDATE: Authorities swept the building with the help of K-9 units from Michigan State Police and Genesee County, we're told by a source on scene, and nothing was found.  The threat was determined to not be credible.  Students were expected to be released at the normal time.

We've reached out to Chief Chiros for more information.
