Consumers Energy is reminding customers that weather doesn't take a break, even for Coronavirus.

Be prepared for severe weather as the season is upon us.

This weekend's forecast calls for lots of rain. Thunderstorms are possible today and tonight. Some storms could be severe, but those are expected to impact residents south of Shiawassee County.

But windy conditions will prevail through the weekend, and any one or the combination of these, could lead to power outages, Consumers reminds.

"Rest assured, our team is on the job. We are mobilizing resources to quickly respond to any service interruptions. For your safety and the safety of our crews, we urge you to practice social distancing when you see our team working," an email sent to customers on Friday reads.
