In the controversial and contested 2020 General Election, more than three full days after U.S. citizens went to the polls, enough ballots in the battleground state of Pennsylvania have been counted to give a growing number of media outlets confidence in formally declaring Joe Biden the 46th President of the United States.

On Saturday morning, the Associated Press, ABC News and even FOX News are projecting Biden/Harris as the winning ticket, as 99% of ballots have been counted in Pennsylvania, with Biden leading Trump.  Biden is also leading in Arizona, and in Michigan, where Trump turned the Blue state Red in 2016 by just over 10,000 votes, Biden leads Trump by more than 150,000 in 2020.

New mother, Jordan Callaway, characterized her sentiments on the announced outcome, saying "My daughter gets to grow up in a world where a woman is VP."

Kamala Harris will make history as the nation's first female Vice President.

Meanwhile, President Trump this morning said that this Election is "far from over," and is vowing to continue legal battles he has begun in several states, including Michigan.

Pro-Trump protesters took to Lansing just after the AP made its declaration, WILX-TV reports.

In Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and North Carolina, counting continues, but the combination of winning all those states together still would not put President Trump at the 270 electoral vote threshold needed to retain his seat at the White House.

Biden had been sitting at 253 electoral votes and Trump at 214 for days, according to ABC News, but with the attribution of the 20 electoral votes from Pennsylvania, Biden now has 273 -- three more than the number needed to become President, with potentially more on the way as other states finalize their vote counts.

The AP has projected Biden as the winner of 290 electoral votes.

In Shiawassee County, voters heavily favored President Donald Trump in Tuesday's election.  The Trump/Pence ticket secured 59% of the vote in Shiawassee County, with Biden/Harris taking 39%.
