Robert Stewart Welsh, age 68 of Owosso, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at his home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 3:00pm at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel, 302 W. Corunna Ave. Corunna, MI. Pastor Marlene Webster will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00am until the service.

Robert was born on March 14, 1951 in Owosso to Robert and Frances Marie (Richter) Welsh. He graduated from Corunna High School in the class of 1969 and went on to Lansing Community College to study computers. On August 12, 1989 Robert married Jacquelyn Sue Felker at the Henderson United Methodist Church. Robert worked for General Motors for 11 years before deciding that his true passion was driving semi truck. Bob was a man of many hats, he was always busy doing something. He was a 4H Leader for many years, he was a judge for horse shows and he coached his children in football and baseball. He loved his semi truck, and a riding his Harley.

Robert is survived by his mother and step-father, Frances and Steve Niko, his wife of 30 years, Jacquelyn, their children; Terrene (Dewitt) Lynch, Heather Vincent, Jeremy (Cheyenne) Minarik, Regina (Joe Hayes) Welsh, and Kevin Minarik, also his 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His brother, Steve (Deb) Niko, and his sister, Elaine (Terry) Niko-Shugart, also many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Robert, and his grandson, John Valerio.
